When can I switch my Medicare Supplement Plan?
You can switch your Medicare Supplement Plan at any time if you are in good health. However, if you have pre-existing health conditions you can only switch if you have a guaranteed issue period as defined by Medicare’s guidelines. If you have any questions about this, give us a call.
When is my Guaranteed Issue Period?
During your guaranteed issue period, you do not need to answer any health questions when applying for Medicare Supplemental Insurance. There are several situations in which Medicare recipients qualify for guaranteed issue; the most common of which is the initial enrollment period which occurs when you turn 65 or enroll in Medicare Part B.
I just enrolled in a plan…. When will I receive my new health insurance cards?
Average processing time for new applicants is two to three weeks. Keep in mind, if you are approved for coverage, your policy will be effective on the date indicated on your application. If you haven’t received your new health insurance cards within three weeks, give us a call and we will check the status of your application.
Will I qualify for a new Medicare Supplement Plan if I have a pre-existing condition?
